I received the following from Barbara Delbridge: "My husband and I had looked in the wrong graveyard for his great, great grandfather Rev. Isom (Isham) Green Smotherman and his wife Charity Ann Hester Smotherman but could not find them. Now I know why. Thank you for the picture of their gravestone."
Teresa Says: You are so welcome and thank you for the corrected information.
The cemeteries book also lists the following: This is a very clean cemetery, and I wonder where this many stones have gone. Many that remain are just funeral home markers, and maybe these were at one time too. This is a lot of missing markers.

NOTES:
I received the following information from Arline Sudberry:
J. G. Rowland 1850-1920and
Paulina J. Rowland (James G.) 1847-
T. E. Rowland 1868-1930
are not buried in this cemetery. They are listed in the cemetery book, and I went several years ago to see if I could find their markers, and I know that I didn’t imagine that I did, but they were there close to the back. I don’t know what happened to them since that time. I couldn’t understand why those markers were there, because these are my great grandparents and they are buried in the Smotherman Cemetery (No. 143) at Link. I know that because as a little girl I went with my parents and my great aunt to visit their graves. And my great aunt would have known where they were buried since they were her parents. So, after finding the info in the cemetery book and the marker, I went to the Smotherman Cemetery and they had a marker there too. It was just like the one at the other cemetery. I don’t know what is/was going on. Nobody else can tell me either, so without the cemetery book listing, I would have thought that I had it mixed up, but I don’t think so.
If I had some time, I would look into this, and maybe I will one day. All those Smotherman’s are related to me distantly.
