Smyrna Quadrangle

#16 Bennett Cemetery

Posted on Updated on

Smyrna Quadrangle:

On Rocky Fork-Nolenville Road. 1/3 mile east of Williamson County line.  250 feet south of road on the end of a steep sloping ridge in back yard of house.

This cemetery has been removed from our Website at the request of the home owner. We made every effort to ask permission to post this cemetery that was in his back yard, but no one answered the door when we were there.  Since the cemetery is on private property, we will honor his request to not post the pictures from his cemetery.

If at anytime he would like to give written permission, we will repost the pictures from this site.

Thank you,

Rutherford County, TN Cemeteries

Researchers of this family would be encouraged to check out Findagrave.com at this time

Smyrna Quadrangle

This cemetery is a large cemetery located in Smyrna and was started by a stock company composed of Walter King, Oscar Davis, John Tucker, Dr. J. S. Lowry, and others. The first burial was D. W. Tune on 21 Jul 1916.  Many graves have been moved to other graveyards.  It is now under the management of the city of Smyrna.  Burials are continuing here. Joyce sent me the following stones that were of her family. If anyone else has family members buried here, I will gladly add them to Joyce’s collection.

#156 Mullins Cemetery-AKA City View Cemetery

Posted on

Smyrna Quadrangle.  1 3/4 miles west of Smyrna on a hill just north of the old Nashville Highway.

This is not all of this cemetery.  Jeff and I found two VERY large snakes, then ran out of film.  While trying to upload the pictures to the computer, the computer would not boot.  So we decided to call it a day.  Hope to finish the cemetery soon.

I have several ancestors buried in this cemetery in unmarked graves.

There were no stones in this cemetery in 1975. It is on west side of Almaville Road 1/3 of a mile north of intersection of Almaville Road and Manson Pike.
